Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas

The last game week of my career here at Texas Tech!  This week sneaked up on me while I have been busy with grad school and football.  I never thought this week would come and it is now here, and almost gone.  Looking back on how we got here... this has been a year of ups and downs.  We started out the way we wanted, making some big statements and huge wins.  But we struggled down the stretch for whatever reason and yet another coaching change has happened.  We set high expectations for ourselves and invested a lot this year.  Of course we are frustrated with the outcome, but we are in a bowl game and we have one last chance to go out and perform as a team.  With all of the distractions and how the season ended, some people are overlooking this game and focused on the future.  However, we must finish strong and go out with a win.

We have been at Meineke Car Care Bowl in Houston, Texas since Sunday the 23rd.  This week has been a relaxing one as they have not had many events for us during the week.  We have been practicing in the morning at Rice stadium and then have the night off when we get back around 2.  They have a nice game room set up for us with ping pong, Foosball  movies, and a lot of Xboxes to keep us entertained.  It didn't really feel like Christmas as we spent it here at the hotel by the Galleria.  But we were treated to a nice Christmas Dinner and even Santa came to visit us lol.  The main event of the week was the Rodeo Bowl which was a rodeo competition between the two teams.  My Stephenville background and our Texas heritage didn't help us out as Minnesota went on to win the competition.  But we made sure to let them know that we were ready for the game, as some "wait till Friday" and trash talking took place.  We just received our bowl gifts and our blessed to have earned them.  That's about it for the bowl events, and now we are focused and ready for the game.  Minnesota is a 6-6 Big 10 team with big bodies and a physical style offense.  They are different than the leaner speed we are used to seeing in the Big 12.  We must be physical and tackle well in order to shut down their running game.  Also, we must match up against their tall receivers and make them one dimensional.  This game is important to us seniors as we want to go out with a win and have a fun last experience as a Red Raider on the game field.  Thank God for this last opportunity!

Going Through Changes

Finally a post! Sorry I haven't updated in a while, it has been a hectic time lately to say the least.  I didn't expect to have to go through yet another change during my time here, but that's how this business is run and that how my career has been defined.  College football is a middle point between the pure business of the NFL and the mostly pure football nature of high school, at least from a players perspective.  Players in high school do not get anything but living out their childhood dreams and hope for a future in football.  The NFL is a business where you can build your own brand, but also get fired on any given day.  Then awkwardly in the middle is college football where you are able to earn scholarship, but are harshly restricted on business opportunities and things you can/can't do.  I think we are underpaid for everything we do and the health we sometimes sacrifice, but I won't get into that right now.  Nevertheless, we are penalized for transferring and switching schools by one whole year of our career.  That is a huge deal.  But coaches on the other hand can leave at their own will and literally wake up wearing one school's logo and go to bed wearing another school's logo.  Yes they are penalized, but being penalized financially hurts a lot less than being penalized with time like the players are.  Also, their leaving is a huge deal for everyone.  This leaves chaos for the assistant coaches, players, staff, and their families who don't know whether they have a job, where they are going to live, or their futures.  Nothing is guaranteed when a new staff comes in.  But whatever the case, the coach made a decision to leave and now the football program has had to deal with it.  And I think we have dealt with it really well!

Changes is a part of life and football, but I never would have thought I would have so many.  Quantifying the changes in my 5 years gives me 3 head coaches, 2 interim head coaches, 4 defensive coordinators, 4 position coaches, and even 2 mascots as Midnight Matador was injured and retired this year!  Lol I had to throw that last one in there.  We have handled this change really well.  We have gone out and hired the up and coming Kliff Kingsbury.  I think this will bring the swagger back to the field and has already reunited the fan base.  Hopefully at the end of my career, all of these changes will have been for the better and Texas Tech will have a brighter future because of them.

National Football Foundation Award Dinner

This was one of the greatest honors of my career.  It was truly an honor to represent my family, Texas Tech, and Stephenville as a National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Award Recipient.  This Scholar-Athlete class had a great group of guys and it was a pleasure to meet them and get to know them.  Also, Congrats to Barrett Jones being the William V. Campbell trophy winner!  This is what being a student athlete is all about.  It's not just about how you perform on the field, but performing off the field as well and being a great role model.  All 15 players there represented that very well and I was honored to be a part of that.  It took a lot of hard work and help from a lot of people to get me to where I am today.  I thank God, my parents, my fiancee, my teachers, my coaches, family, and friends for all the help and support that helped me along the way.  I couldn't have done it without you!  Now a little about my experience in New York...

Being my first trip to New York, it was definitely a blast.  The timing was perfect as the Christmas decorations were up around the city.  Just seeing all the massive buildings and how compact everything is really was eye opening.  We stayed at the Waldorf Astoria which is such a amazing and historical building.  Rex Burkhead was my roommate and I really enjoyed meeting him and getting to know him.  With the rest of the scholar-athlete group we had a press conference and continued on to Rockefeller Center to see the Christmas tree and then to Radio City Music Hall for the Christmas Spectacular.  The Rockettes were pretty  impressive and it was a great show.  The next day the group got together for pictures then it was on to the award dinner.  What a star studded event!  I was around some football legends and could not believe the players I was getting to meet.  It was an honor to meet Gabe Rivera and great for both of us to be at the event to represent Texas Tech.  My dad was even more star stuck as he knew more of the older players in attendance than I did.  It was my first black tie event and truly a night to remember.  After the event we got the chance to explore the city and do the following sightseeing: central park, empire state building, wall street, NYSE, Rockefeller center, Macy's, Times Square, Grand Central Station, ride the subway, 9/11 memorial, and got to see Wicked on Broadway.  Pictures and video from the award dinner are shown below.  It was a trip of a lifetime and I am truly blessed to have received such an award. God Bless!

Football Stadiums I Have Played In

As the end of the season and my college football career draws toward an end, I will be giving you some info graphics reflecting on my time here at Texas Tech.  If you don't know what an info graphic is... it is basically any information shown in a visually appealing format (charts, graphs, maps, etc...).  To view all of the info graphics I have done so far be sure to check out my page called "Infographics."  The following is a Google map I made showing all of the football stadiums I have played in since I have been here (2008-2012).  Definitely have played in some of the biggest, best, and most tradition rich stadiums in the country. Be sure to check out the "Earth" view in order to see some of the stadiums in 3d.  If you don't like the little window, click on the link below the map to see it full screen.  Hope you enjoy!

Moving on to the Bowl Game

Sometimes all you can do is move on.  That was yet another tough loss and the hardest to swallow by far.  We came in ready to play and started out great, but kept Baylor in the game by our mistakes.  The defense played good except for the big plays and critical penalties that kept drives alive.  We still could not get a turnover and that might have changed the game.  Being our third overtime this year, like a game of Russian roulette, time finally ran out on us and our mistakes came back to haunt us.  But whatever the reason, the final outcome is that we lost my final Big 12 game.  Have to move on and figure out a way to win my last game as a Red Raider.  We are going to a bowl and we have to just wait and watch this final college football week to find out our destiny.  I've never been to a bowl game outside of Texas, so hopefully this is the year!

Download Game Assassin’s Creed III Free Full Version

Assassins Creed III
Assassin's Creed III features new weather simulations such as snow, fog, and rain. Depending on the seasons, weather determines how enemies/players will move around. Heavy snowfall makes it more difficult to travel.
The game follows the series' standard open world gameplay in the Desmond and Haytham/Connor Sequences, where the game's main story takes place. New gameplay additions include muskets and rifles, which can be fired at a considerable reload time, or used as a melee weapon. Hiding places can now be mobile, such as haystacks in wagons or moving carts, which can be used to sneak up closer to targets. Disguises can also be worn, fooling normal troops and only risking investigation by officers.

Free running has been modified to allow for more fluid, parkour-like movement over certain obstacles. Exploration has also been modified, allowing for map areas to be revealed without requiring a viewpoint synchronization.
Close combat has been modified, slowing during blocks to allow for more options in attack and defense. Human shields can be taken against firing lines of enemies.

Players are now able to trap and hunt animals for skins in the wilderness. Hostile animals, such as bears and wolves exist, and will attack the player on sight. The value of an animal's hide is determined by the method of killing. Muskets, flintlock pistols, and multiple attacks will make skins less valuable while a clean kill, a single arrow or blade strike, will increase the value.

Another major addition is the Davenport Homestead missions. Starting with a single house and a few outbuildings, the player can perform missions for NPCs in order to convince them to settle near the Homestead, providing the player with raw materials and crafting facilities. Recipes for crafting can be obtained from chests throughout the game. Raw goods and crafts can then be used as part of a local economy, selling them at market by either trade-caravan or via sea convoys. Dependent on the goods being traded and the level of threat nearby, these goods can be attacked and stolen, or sold for profit.

Assassin's Creed III also features naval expeditions. The Eastern seaboard is a playable area, and will have a range of missions, side quests, and a treasure hunt involving the legendary treasure of Captain Kidd. Aside from these, free-roaming on the high seas is not available. Connor will captain a warship, the Aquila, with which the player can engage in naval campaigns.[2] Control of the ship relies heavily on environmental factors such as wind direction and speed, local presence of storms, high waves, and rocks.

The sails can be reefed or opened fully, providing more speed but reducing maneuverability. Engagements are by cannon, with broadsides covering both flanks of the ship, and swivel guns that can be used to damage smaller ships. Other vessels may also be rammed, damaging both ships. The Aquila can be upgraded with more canons, other armaments including chain-shot, grapeshot, heated shot, hull reinforcement and a naval ram. With each naval mission complete, the risk of naval convoy capture is reduced.

The American Colonies, 1775. It’s a time of civil unrest and political upheaval in the Americas. As a Native American assassin fights to protect his land and his people, he will ignite the flames of a young nation’s revolution. Assassin’s Creed III takes you back to the American Revolutionary War, but not the one you’ve read about in history books.

Download Game God Of War 4 Ascension Free Full Version

God of War: Ascension is an upcoming third person action-adventure video game being developed by SCE Santa Monica Studio and to be published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The game is scheduled to be released on March 12, 2013 for the PlayStation 3 video game console and will be the seventh installment in the God of War series and a prequel to the entire series. It will be the first installment in the series to feature multiplayer, be developed with Stereoscopic 3D and feature a revamped combat and weapon system, and new gameplay mechanics.
Loosely based on Greek mythology, the game will be set in Ancient Greece with the player controlling the protagonist Kratos. Kratos attempts to sever ties with the God of War Ares—who tricked Kratos into murdering his wife and child—by defeating the three Furies. God of War: Ascension will chronologically be the first chapter in the series, forming part of a saga with vengeance as a central theme.

Not that the size of the community is likely to be a problem with God of War 4 (though there are most certainly going to be irritating people in abundance on the servers). The problem with God of War is that it’s such a perfectly crafted single player experience, with a strong definable lead character and an epic world. Kratos isn’t even in the multiplayer game, and rather than epic, multiplayer battle arenas are just that, arenas. It runs completely against the very point of the series! The resource drain implementing a multiplayer mode is going to inevitably going to impact on the single player game. Multiplayer doesn’t just happen, it always comes at the expense (to a lesser or greater degree) of the single player game, and I’m personally sick of single player games being used as glorified tutorials for the multiplayer that the developers desperately want people involved in.

The reason Dark/ Demon’s Souls and Journey have minimal multiplayer is as much a consequence of the developers working around an inherent problem with multiplayer – that is, the obnoxious people that play them, and the lack of integration with the single player experience – and have come up with a creative solution to them. That doesn’t work for every game, though, and for many games I would suggest rather than shoehorn in a multiplayer mode, how’s about doing something radical and putting the resources into fine tuning the single player game more?

God Of War 4 Ascension - Minimum System Requirement
CPU: Intel/AMD 2,5 GHz or higher

Resident Evil 6
Resident Evil 6: Operation Raccoon City, known in Japan as Biohazard: Operation Raccoon City (バイオハザード オペレーション・ラクーンシティ Baiohazādo Operēshon Rakūn Shiti?) is a third-person shooter video game for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, co-developed by Slant Six Games and Capcom. It was released on March 20, 2012 in North America, March 22, 2012 in Australia, March 23, 2012 in Europe and April 26, 2012 in Japan.[2]
It is part of the Resident Evil series, being set around the same time as Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, and featuring the characters from these two games, though it is a non-canon hypothetical scenario.[3] The game follows a group of elite paramilitary mercenaries for the Umbrella Corporation during the zombie outbreak in Raccoon City.
The game was met with a mixed and often negative critical reception, but became a commercial success nevertheless, selling more than 2 million units.

Umbrella Security Service (USS) Delta team enters the Raccoon City Underground Laboratory, where they meet up with Alpha team leader HUNK. Their mission is to assist Alpha team in stopping Dr. William Birkin from handing over his T-virus research to the U.S. military and retrieve the G-virus. On their way to Birkin's lab, they find Birkin has paid numerous Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service (UBCS) mercenaries to work for him while the deal goes forward. When they reach Birkin's lab, the doctor is shot, and HUNK and another Alpha leave with the samples. They soon find that Birkin survived the attack and infected himself with the virus. The Birkin creature proceeds to kill off most of Alpha team before disappearing; HUNK offers to go back in search of the sample.
Not long after the battle, it becomes evident that the T-virus has leaked city-wide, and people are beginning to transform into flesh-hungry zombies. In what they see as a punishment by USS command, Delta team is ordered to remove evidence of Umbrella's role in the outbreak. Heading into Raccoon City Hall, Delta team meets with a UBCS mercenary and they monitor Nicholai Ginovaef; he is soon revealed as a traitor and attempts to kill Delta team.
Later, the team is sent out around Raccoon Park to find the Nemesis-T Type, which has gone rogue. A second parasite is injected into its body in order to bring it back under control. Shortly after this mission is completed, the team is then sent out to the Raccoon City Police Department, ordered to kill any surviving police officers and destroy evidence linking the company to the outbreak. When this is done, the team exits the station, and soon after encounter Leon S. Kennedy, whom they begin to hunt down along with Sherry Birkin. After they find and corner Leon, Claire Redfield and Sherry, the game can end in two ways: in one ending, the two surviving members of the team resign from Umbrella over their abandonment during the mission and betray them by letting the three live; in the other, Leon and Claire are executed and Sherry is sent to an Umbrella facility.
Gameplay
Alongside the single player mode, the game also offers four-player co-operative Raccoon Mode, which pits the USS against the U.S. Special Ops teams.
The zombies in the game are able to attack the player in a multitude of ways. A zombie that gets too close to the player will usually attempt to grapple the player, prompting the player to rapidly shake his/her analogue stick to avoid getting bitten. Players who are unsuccessful in doing this will be infected for a limited amount of time. Whilst they are infected they gain small bonuses at the expense of a slowly depleting health bar. If a player is successfully bitten and later runs out of time after becoming infected, the player will lose control of their character and begin attacking their former teammates until killed, allowing the player to respawn. There are additional enemy types in the game besides zombies, such as Lickers, Hunters, and Cerberuses. Furthermore, the players are able to control them under certain circumstances.
Heroes Mode is an online multiplayer feature allowing to play characters such as Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine and Carlos Oliviera, plus Ada Wong, HUNK, Nicholai Ginovaef, and a new character, Lone Wolf. Xbox 360-exclusive Nemesis Mode allows one player to control Nemesis and use him to kill the other team.

Download Game Armored Core 5 Free Full Version

Armored Core 5
Armored Core V will rely more on tactics and using the geography of the level rather than high-speed finger work. This harks back more to the original PS1 games, especially the first, as many levels were set within city type environments and were more tactical as a consequence. A notable difference will be smaller mechs (5 meter tall, as opposed to the 10 meter mech from the previous releases), which will allow more varied, "three dimensional" stages. Reports from the developer suggest a greater emphasis on stealth as a result of the size change, which allows the mech to maneuver between alleyways and buildings for cover.
From Software also added an Ultimate weapon that can deal an enormous amount of damage towards Player's opponents in one or more hit, however, it takes time to charge when activated, limiting the Player with only one use per mission, or match and consumes AC armor points in the process as an disadvantage (some ultimate weapons provide 2 uses).

The online mode will feature five-on-five team-based battles, with each side battling over specific objectives on a persistent world map. Additionally, one member of the team will be designated as a commander (called an "Operator"), whose job it will be to oversee the larger battle and issue orders to the other team members. A special interface is being designed by the developers to facilitate this.

Introduction of the game begins with the Player's AC pilot a silent protagonist ordered by his commander named Fran to escape the city under siege by the corporation's army. A tutorial was given to show the basic controls on how to pilot the AC as the player escapes the city. The player manages to escapes the city by reaching the extraction point that Fran ordered earlier was later rescued, and carried away by Rosary and her cargo helicopter as they evade the conflict. However, during their escape they were interrupted by an unidentified AC who shot down Rosary's Cargo helicopter forcing the Player to engage in a battle with the unidentified AC. Whether the player manages to finish the mission, the player's AC is however destroyed in battle ending the scene with either Fran or Rosary in her cargo helicopter carrying the player's AC to somewhere safe.

(The confusing storyline show some hints that Fran is inside Rosary's Cargo helicopter while Rosary is piloting the cargo helicopter)

The game sets in a Future Post Apocalypse war, where as the resistance engage in an all out war against the so-called "FATHER" and his Corporation. Gameplay and story is featured differently from all the armored core series. During each story missions. The game features an Narrator telling the history that depicts Armored core 5's events and how the Player's pilot and his group approach the situation. The story mission are based on War torn city like landscapes, City Harbors, Deserted ancient facilities, and a post apocalyptic deserted city as the game's theme. After the Player have completed the introduction of the game. The game begins with order missions, and sub missions that some of these missions are required to be completed in ordered to continue the process of the game's main story. The story is divided into 10 story based missions depending on the player's choice to decide which to play first when each story mode is unlocked. As the story may confuse players in each story missions.

The game is set in New York City, where a virulent plague known as BLACKLIGHT is spreading through Manhattan. Alex has the ability to absorb other individuals, taking on their biomass, memories, experiences, and physical forms. Parallel to the game's storyline is the ability to play the game as a sandbox-style video game giving the player freedom to roam Manhattan.

Many reviewers compared and contrasted it with Infamous, another open world action game released one month prior to Prototype, by Sucker Punch Productions which features a superpowered protagonist with developing powers in an urban world. However, the gameplay of Prototype is very similar to The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, also by Radical Entertainment.
